Delta Leadership School Graduates Proclaimed Leaders at Value Rebirth Centre Ceremony

The latest cohort of graduates from the Value Rebirth Centre LSD Leadership School, Delta Study Centre, were officially proclaimed leaders on Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Hall, Edjeba, Warri, in a ceremony celebrating accountability, humility, integrity, and empathy.

The event drew prominent attendees, including Professor Nyerhovwo Tonukari, Commissioner for Higher Education, representing Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori; Pastor Edewor Egedegbe (Host); Dr. Otivere Igbuzor (Co-host); Mr. Abraham Ogbodo (Guest Speaker); and Mr. Sylvester Okoh, JP (Management Expert).

Professor Tonukari conveyed the Governor’s regrets for not attending in person, emphasizing his passion for education and the importance of leadership development. He commended the Value Rebirth Centre Leadership School for nurturing future leaders and encouraged graduates to make a meaningful impact in society.

Delivering a lecture on “Leadership and Value Decadence in Nigeria”, Mr. Abraham Ogbodo urged graduates to distinguish between management and leadership, quoting Martin Luther King Jr.: “A star shines when it is the darkest.” He encouraged them to emerge as remarkable leaders in their communities.

Host Pastor Edewor Egedegbe highlighted the spiritual dimension of leadership, blessing graduates to lead with integrity and purpose. Certificates were presented as tangible proof of their dedication and readiness to serve.

Several graduates reflected on the impact of the programme. Mr. Alfred Piniki said the leadership training would inspire societal change and encouraged youths from Gbaramatu Kingdom to participate. Mr. Andrew Arizu expressed gratitude to the school management and vowed to apply the knowledge gained to uplift his communities in Gbaramatu and Ogulagha Kingdoms, acknowledging traditional leaders for their support.

The ceremony concluded with jubilant celebrations as graduates tossed their mortarboards in the air, danced, and offered thanksgiving, capturing the moment with photos and the classic anthem “Stand Up for the Champions” by Right Said Fred.

The Value Rebirth Centre LSD Leadership School continues to establish itself as a key hub for nurturing principled and visionary leaders across Delta State.
