The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Yenagoa Branch, has ushered in a new era of leadership with the formal installation of its newly elected executives in Yenagoa.

The ceremony, which drew distinguished engineers, government representatives, captains of industry, and stakeholders in the state, was marked by a renewed call for professionalism, innovation, and infrastructural development in Bayelsa and the Niger Delta.

In his inaugural address, Engr. Eluanatein Mac Jokori MNSE the newly installed Chairman pledged to consolidate on the achievements of past administrations while prioritizing mentorship for young engineers, advocacy for local content, and active collaboration with government agencies on sustainable development projects.

Outgoing executives led by Engr. Boyibim Jonah Edoghotu FNSE were celebrated for their service and contributions to the growth of the engineering profession in the state. Dignitaries present at the event commended NSE’s role as a critical partner in national development, stressing that engineering solutions remain key to addressing infrastructural gaps, flooding, and energy challenges facing Bayelsa.

The event ended with a charge to the new leadership to uphold the ethics of the profession, champion innovation, and position Bayelsa as a hub for engineering excellence.
