- Backfilling ongoing – Bayelsa is below sea level, so strong sand filling is key for a lasting foundation.
- Piling works 24/7 – round-the-clock foundation work to carry the weight of this mega-structure.
- More machines coming – extra piling equipment arriving soon to boost speed.
- Workshops relocated – welding & operations now right inside the stadium site for efficiency.
- 24hr workforce covered – roofed platforms set up for day & night shifts.

Completion target:
Mid-2027
Big picture: If Bayelsa gets the nod to host the 2028 National Sports Festival, the stadium is expected to host up to 60% of the events!
