UNITY MEETING: EKEREMOR WARD 8 APC STAKEHOLDERS FORMALLY RECEIVE NEW DEFECTORS FROM PDP

Ekeremor, Bayelsa State — The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekeremor Ward 8 on Tuesday 4th November, 2025 held a unity and consolidation meeting to formally welcome political stakeholders and supporters from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who recently defected to the APC alongside with the Governor of Bayelsa State on Monday, November 3, 2025.

The meeting which was convened and presided by Barr. Belemu Nemine at the residence of Hon. Christopher Enai, former Member of the House of Representatives, served as a strategic engagement to strengthen party cohesion, reinforce grassroots mobilization, and officially integrate the new entrants into the APC family.

Speaking on behalf the APC family, Lucky Residence, described the defection as a significant milestone that reflects a renewed confidence in the APC's progressive ideals and leadership direction. He urged party faithful to remain united, noting that the defection of former PDP members signaled a “homecoming” based on shared political aspirations and commitment to development.
“We are receiving brothers and sisters who have taken a bold and progressive decision to join the APC family,” Lucky said. “This ward has always stood for unity and progress, and today we reaffirm that commitment. We embrace our new members wholeheartedly as we march forward together.”

Also speaking, other stakeholders emphasized the importance of collective effort, loyalty, and inclusion, assuring the defectors of a level playing field and equal opportunity to contribute to the party’s success.

Prominent amongst those who attended the meeting were Ebimene Atti, former Ekeremor Local Government Caretaker Chairman, Barr. Belemu Nemine; Mr.Felix Okorotie SAN, Barr (Mrs) Deme Pamosoo, Chairman of Ekeremor Rural Development Authority (RDA), Emmanuel Ayakpo, Tecko Lokpobiri, Paul Okpikpi along with other key party leaders, ward executives, and loyal supporters.

In their goodwill remarks, the defectors expressed appreciation for the warm reception and pledged to work diligently for the growth of the party across the ward and the local government.

The meeting ended with prayers and a renewed pledge among members to build a united and formidable APC ahead of future political engagements in Bayelsa State.
