The Bayelsa State Government through the Ministry of Education organised a one day mentorship program for SS 3 Students in the Twelve (12) Government Model Secondary Schools at the Ijaw National Academy (INA) Kaiama, Bayelsa State.

The Honourable Commissioner for Education Bayelsa State, Hon. Dr. Emelah Gentle, encouraged and advised the students to take their studies very serious, stay in school, stay away from drugs, sex education and also examination malpractice, that with Education they can become whatever they want to become in life.

Dr. Gentle Emelah thanked His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State for the provision for the 2025 Summer Class for the Students of the Twelve (12) Government Model Secondary Schools in the State.

The Honourable Commissioner thanked the Principals, Vice Principals and Teachers for making themselves available for the summer classes.

The Technical Assistant to the Governor on General Duties, Mr. Eriye Tuaweri, in his presentation encouraged and advised the students to always fulfil a purpose and focus on the development of their career.

The Director General of Yenagoa Chambers of Commerce Industry Mines & Agriculture, Barr. Warmate Jones Idikio, on the other hand spoke to the students on *Building your future: Making smart choices now*
For him, no student can become a professional if that student is not focused on the right thing. A student whose focus is not on his books and his focus is on his phone or other digital gadgets watching movies, cartoons, pornographic videos is doomed for failure.
