GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT.

The Bayelsa State Government has noticed with dismay, the indiscriminate installation of solar street lights in the state capital by groups and organisations without recourse to the state ministry of Power for approval.
This act amounts to undermining government directives for coordinated initiatives in the provision of Solar lights in line with global best practices.
Consequently, corporate organisations and groups currently embarking on these unauthorised installations are to stop forthwith and approach the Ministry of Power for appropriate certification before further action.
Furthermore, organizations, groups or individuals that wish to undertake such projects in future should notify and seek approval from the Bayelsa state Ministry of Power before embarking on them as defaulters will be sanctioned according to the law.
