When we consistently check ourselves and our deeds, we will realize that as the Bible rightly puts it, it is vanity upon vanity.
With this in mind, why are we still on each other's throats? Why are we against each other's growth and progress?
Here, we are all gathered today to honour a woman with many testimonials of good stewardship, kindness and love. She was a virtuous woman indeed, who had touched numerous lives in her lifetime.
So my dear good people of Bayelsa, no matter what or who we are, we will only be remembered for what we have done.
So what will people remember you for when you are gone?
Let us check ourselves and live right by God and man.”

The governor was joined by the Member Representing Yenagoa Constituency 1, Hon. Chief Ayibanegiyefa Egba, Hon. Dr. Daniel Charles representing Brass Constituency 1, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, Members of the State Executive Council and other top government functionaries.
