I commend the Otiki Gbodo Foundation for its remarkable initiative in empowering young Bayelsans through skills acquisition and empowerment programs. The graduation of One Hundred and Fifty (150) trainees from the Batch A programme of the foundation is a testament to High Chief Otiki Gbodo and his foundation's commitment to equipping Bayelsa youths with valuable skills to succeed in today's competitive job market.

The program which covers a range of skills, including barbing, knitting, gele tying, soap and perfume making, shoe making, make-up, and catering is crucial in today's job market, giving the teeming Bayelsa youths a competitive edge and enabling them to turn their skills into successful businesses, empowering them to be self-sufficient and equally contributing to the economic growth of their communities, Bayelsa State, and Nigeria at large.

Clearly, the Otiki Gbodo Foundation's initiative aligns with the Douye Diri-led Prosperity Government's efforts to promote human capital development and skills acquisition among Bayelsa youths, as evidenced in the Governor's eight fully-equipped Science and Technical Colleges across the state, offering training in various fields, including welding, carpentry, ICT, fashion design, and mechanical engineering.

By providing vocational training and empowerment programs, the Otiki Gbodo Foundation is complementing Governor Diri's efforts in addressing the challenges of unemployment and poverty among youths in Bayelsa State.

Hon. Otiki Gbodo's efforts demonstrate the impact that individuals can have in shaping the future of young people and contributing to the economic growth of their communities.
