15th August, 2025 CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE 2025 SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS (SSS 3) MENTORING AND LEADERSHIP TRAINI

Salute/Guard of Honour by the Representative of the Governor of Bayelsa State, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Mr. Okene Simon-peter, at the Closing Ceremony of the 2025 Senior Secondary School Students (SSS 3) Mentoring and Leadership Training Programme of the Summer Camp Class, at Captain Samuel Timinipre Owonaro Ijaw National Academy (INA) Kaiama, Bayelsa State.
Mr. Okene Simon-Peter in his speech, thanked the Principals and the teachers of the schools because this is a period when they were supposed to be resting because schools are on holidays but the sacrifice they put in to be here. He thanked them for the efforts they put in for the academic advancement of the state particularly for the benefit of our students.
He thanked the students for their patience as he appreciates them for their attention to studies. He wish them well. He also thanked their parents for having the confidence to release them to be with us throughout this period.
He thanked the Dignitaries that came to grace the occasion for finding out time to be part of us and to see what government is doing, particularly through the Education Development Trust Fund (EDTF).
He thanked the Director General Directorate of Special Education and Policy Services, Ms. Biboye Ogola, for her time and commitment towards the programme.
