The outcome of the by- election confirms Atiku Abubakar fears. Aligning with the opposition in ADC was a bad move amd officially resigning from PDP a terrible decision.

Atiku was supposed to officially receive the membership card of the ADC a week ago. Instead he postponed the exercise indefinitely for no reason. The reasons are becoming apparent now. The excitement that greeted the ADC fizzled out so quick amd unexpected. Being an experienced politician, he saw the handwriting on the wall but it was too late.

He did his calculations right. Everything seem to have fallen in place for him just like he planned it until PDP made the unexpected move. A move that had now pushed Atiku into a tight corner. PDP waved an olive branch to Petet Obi and also making moves to bring back Jonathan. Atiku finally boxed himself into where his enemies wanted him. The opposition is in disarray. The predicted mass exodus into ADC is not happening.

None of the people he relied on will be able to to save him. Not El Rufai, not Amaechi and definitely not Aregbesola. Those who described them as heavyweights can now see them in their true lights- lightweights. Behind El Rufai success was Buhari. Without Wike, Amechi is nothing and without Tinubu,Aregbesola is a nobody.

As it stands rigyt now, President Tinubu's path to victory is already being paved. He is a special breed. He is performing. Turning the economy around. By 2027,he would relegated his opponents to the peripheral of history and have wiped out whatever remain of their influence.
