19th August, 2025 GOV. DIRI WELCOMES NEW AIG ZONE 16 …SUES FOR COLLABORATION TO ENSURE SECURITY

The Governor of Bayelsa State, Sen. Douye Diri, today, welcomed the new Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 16, which covers Bayelsa and Rivers States, AIG Johnson Oluwole Adenola, to Bayelsa State.
Gov. Diri, during the meeting which held in the Governor’s Conference Hall, in Government House, Yenagoa, acknowledged the obvious readiness of the new AIG to get to work, as he urged AIG Adenola to work hand in glove with the government and other security agencies in the state for best results, which is the security of lives and properties of Bayelsans and Bayelsa State.
“I will like to formally welcome you the 11th AIG to lead the Zone 16 to Bayelsa State, the Glory of all Lands.
For us, it is thing of pride to host the Zonal Headquarters here in Bayelsa.”
The governor was joined in the meeting by his Deputy, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, the Senator representing Kaduna South, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung and his wife, the member representing Ekeremor Constinuency 1, Barr. Tare Porri, and other top government functionaries.
