NCDMB hosts 2nd edition of book reading series, reaffirms commitment to capacity devt

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has on Wednesday reiterated its commitment to capacity development in the oil and gas industry and its linkage sectors.

Dr. Obinna Ezeobi, General Manager in charge of Corporate Communications Division (CCD), spoke on behalf of the NCDMB while delivering the welcome address at the second edition of its Book Reading Series at the Nigerian Content Tower in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.

While stressing that education is a key focus area for the board, Ezeobi cited NCDMB’s establishment of Centres of Excellence in universities as well as sponsorship of essay and quiz competitions in secondary schools and higher institutions

Ezeobi represented the Executive Secretary, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe at the event, it was gathered.

He was accompanied by Mr. Teleola Oyeleke, Supervisor, Media; Mr. Teddy Bai, Supervisor, Government Relations; Mr. Manfred Onisodemuya, Officer Media; and other members of staff.

The session featured veteran journalist Dayo Oketola, who read from his award-winning publication, The Catalyst: Nigerian Tech Evolution Through a Journalist’s Lens.

The book reading attracted a diverse audience including writers, literature enthusiasts, students, and other distinguished guests.

Attendees were also treated to spoken word performances, adding a creative touch to the literary gathering.
