Bayelsa lawmaker, Daniel Charles, receives award in Abuja

Hon. Daniel Charles, lawmaker representing Brass Constituency I in the Bayelsa State Assembly, has been honoured as "the Best Legislator with the most Number of Motions and Private Member Bills in the 7th Bayelsa State House of Assembly."

Charles got the recognition at the 2025 edition of the Papyrus Magazine Award held in Abuja on Saturday.

The lawmaker who took to social media to announce his latest honour thanked the organizers for the award and equally appreciated his constituents for the opportunity to serve them.

He added that the award has reinforced his commitment to further serve his people to the best of his ability.

In his words: "Yesterday, in the company of my beloved wife, I was recognized as the Best Legislator with the Highest Number of Motions and Private Member Bills in the 7th Bayelsa State House of Assembly.

"While I thank the organizers for recognizing my modest efforts in the House of Assembly, I also appreciate my constituents for giving me their mandate as well as the needed support to do what they want done.

"This award by Papyrus Magazine has reinforced my commitment to serving my people optimally and making a lasting impact in their lives. To God be the glory!"
