Bayelsa APC hails Diri, others for defection, says gov is leader of party

The Bayelsa State All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed gratitude to Governor Douye Diri, the speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Abraham Ngobere, as well as other prominent political figures who have joined the party in the state.

In a statement released by the State Chairman of the party, Chief Dennis Otiotio-Odoni, the party heartily welcomes the governor and his team to the Renewed Hope Family.

Otiotio in the statement expressed delight in the governor's decision to leave the PDP to join the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu whose reforms he said are reshaping the socio-economic and political landscape of the country.

He also eulogized the governor for embarking on major projects such as the three senatorial roads, the ongoing installation of a 60-megawatt plug and play gas turbine amongst others.

The Bayelsa APC chairman called on all party faithful in the state to embrace the new entrants into the party, noting that every member both old and new are equal with same rights and obligations.

The party pledged their unalloyed support and loyalty of the entire members of the APC to the Governor as the leader of the party.
