RIVERS STATE: RSIEC has fixed August 30,2027 for the Conduct of Local Government Elections in Rivers State.

AND we all know the reasons for the cancellation of the conduct of the last LGA Elections before the suspended Governor SIM Fubara was ousted from office..which bothered on Legality and Credibility.
AND I know that there are still such issues in court challenging this same elections.
Thus, I will like to strongly advise that for anyone who truly love the progress of this state. Whether you are in the camp...who the schedule favours or you are in the camp short chained. We are all in the same stormy waters.
Thus, we all must have one desire and goal to wish for. That the conduct of this next LGA Election ..must be free from any legal impediments, so we don't keep going in and out of court rooms....just to choose our leaders.
The time and money waited is ours. Rivers State's Money! The progress and milestones of developments halted..still impacts on each and everyone of us, either ways.
AND we must also be cautious, particularly those who feel they have the upper hands and think that the odds are in their favour. And who may go out of their ways to manipulate and rig the elections. Should know that this may possibly spark violence..because the aggrieved party may choose protest as a respond to demand for their rights legitimate and even head back to court. And the circle continues.
BUT, we must know, the scenario is different now. The person who occupies the Brick House at the moment is a stranger, who may not have recourse to the constitution to deal with the emergence of any form of civil disobedience. Because he came in through Emergency Doctrine.
Thus, if we are wise and discerning, and true to ourselves. What any camp, faction, group or political party should be interrogating, the Law and RSIEC should be? Are we on clear stands with the conduct of this LGA Elections, as scheduled by RSIEC?
It is not about taking advantage of the situation.
But, about taking part in a process that could be reversed tomorrow..base on questions of the Law and Credibility.
AND for the Sole Administrator and Mr. President, they are just watching us. Waiting with the BIG HAMMER, to extend the EMERGENCY RULE, if we choose not to be wise!
