Based on disturbing reports from Concerned Citizens to the Bayelsa State Ministry of Environment of an ongoing Sand Dredging activity that is almost affecting a bridge along the East-West road, just before Sampou Community, the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Ebi Ben Ololo, paid an unscheduled visit to the reported Area where he discovered the ongoing dredging activities.

The Honourable Commissioner thereafter directs the operators of the sites to come to the Ministry for a proper briefing and explanation regarding the sites.
