Tompolo 1 Million Youth Movement kicks off Nationwide state Chapter Formation to Mobilize Grassroots Support for Tinubus

Post by Abigail pereowei »

In a bold move to galvanize youth support across Nigeria for the second-term bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Tompolo 1 Million Youth Movement has commenced the nationwide formation of its state chapters. The movement, inspired by the leadership ideals of High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), is strategically positioning itself to be a formidable force in grassroots political mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections.

With the motto: "For Tompolo, Yes We Move! For Tinubu, Yes We Move!" the group aims to ignite a renewed sense of patriotism, youth participation, and grassroots empowerment under the broader Renewed Hope Agenda championed by President Tinubu.

Youth engagement has always been a pivotal component in political transitions, and the Tompolo 1 Million Youth Movement recognizes this. By targeting the nation's youthful demographic, the movement is crafting a new narrative of inclusion, empowerment, and responsibility. It seeks not only to reawaken interest in governance but also to position young people as active stakeholders in shaping the nation's future.

National Coordinator Snr. Comrade Saturday David has been actively embarking on a familiarization tour across states, meeting with newly constituted state chapter executives to strengthen coordination, foster unity, and align strategies. His recent visits to Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom States received widespread attention and commendation, setting the tone for effective youth-led grassroots mobilization.

Speaking on the significance of the tour, Comrade David emphasized that "mobilization cannot happen in isolation. It must begin with mutual understanding, shared goals, and on-the-ground engagement. We are building a movement that will not only campaign but inspire long-term civic participation among young Nigerians."

The movement is now preparing for high-profile familiarization visits to Edo and Lagos States, where the coordinator is expected to meet with Edo and Lagos States youth leaders, grassroots organizers, and chapter executives of the group, following the successful formation of the group in over twelve states namely; Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Cross Rivers, Imo, Abia, Edo, Enugu, Lagos, Anambra and Ebonyi states.

The planned familiarization visit and engagements to all the already covered states chapters will serve to further solidify the structures in Nigeria’s political and economic powerhouses, ensuring that the movement’s reach and impact is nationwide.

Through this nationwide effort, anchored in the grassroots, the movement not only aims to secure re-election for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 but also to build a lasting legacy of youth political engagement, echoing the commitment of its inspiration to community development and national unity.

The Tompolo 1 Million Youth Movement is more than just a campaign vehicle; it is a community-oriented initiative committed to empowering youth through leadership training, political education, and civic engagement.
