INC Elections: Stakeholders Declare Timi Kaiser-Wilhelm Ogoriba Best Candidate for INC Presidency

Elder Timi Kaiser-Wilhelm Ogoriba, a frontline aspirant for the position of National President of the Ijaw National Congress (INC) Worldwide, has been endorsed as the most qualified candidate to lead the body, owing to his vast experience and longstanding contributions to the Ijaw struggle.

The endorsement came over the weekend during the Team T.K. Committee of Friends and Supporters consultation visit to the Central Zone, after earlier engagements with the Eastern and Western zones.

Speaking after the meeting in Yenagoa, Chairman of Boma Clan, Dr. Samuel Agunza, urged other contenders to step down in support of Ogoriba, noting that his proven capacity and track record make him the natural choice for the position.

Also lending their voices, the Chairman of Atissa Clan and Vice Chairman of the G-34 Forum, His Highness Loveday Rufus Abaribote, and the Chairman of Tarakiri Clan, who doubles as Secretary General of the G-34 Forum of Central Zone, Engr. Lawrence Lokiri, described Ogoriba’s candidacy as the beginning of a “new dawn” for the Ijaw nation.

Responding on behalf of the Team T.K. Ogoriba Committee of Friends, Hon. Deo Doupele Kalsuo, a former Chairman of INC Gbarain Clan, told journalists that the overwhelming positive feedback from clans visited shows that the people have long yearned for a true agitator of the Ijaw struggle, qualities they now see in Ogoriba.

The INC national election is scheduled for February 2026, marking the end of the current executive’s tenure and the emergence of new leadership for the apex Ijaw socio-cultural organization.
