Tombia-Ekpetiama community came alive once again as the people gathered for the 2025 edition of the Okolede Celebration, a festival rich in tradition, unity, and cultural pride.
This year’s event took on a special flavour as the Youth President, Comr. Debei, successfully hosted an Inter-Compound Canoe Race, rekindling the age-old spirit of sportsmanship and riverine culture that defines the Ekpetiama clan.
The canoe race, which drew participation from different family compounds, was more than just a contest on water—it was a show of solidarity, strength, and youthful energy. The rhythmic paddling, the cheers from the banks, and the colourful displays of compound supporters created unforgettable scenes that will linger in the memories of participants and spectators alike.
