The SDD/SLE Prosperity Movement for Bayelsa has extended deep condolences to its Media Director, Mr. Thorpe Okokoyoh Henry, over the passing of his beloved stepfather, late Chief T. T. Akpasi of Ogboinbiri Community, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.
Mr. Thorpe Okokoyoh Henry, who also serves as the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman of Ekeremor Local Government Area, lost his stepfather on Tuesday, 9th September 2025. The group, in solidarity and honour, paid him a condolence visit.
The leadership of the organization, representing other members, included: Hon. Benjamin Abrakasa, Hon. Lucky Agbalaje, Dr. Awoli Michael Anapurere, Hon. Uroh Omiekumo Kiani, Chief Otavie Ugiri, Mr. Adigbe George, and Miss Justina Gesiere.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Hon. Lucky Agbalaje described late Chief T. T. Akpasi as a man who lived a remarkable and impactful life. He noted that Chief Akpasi’s legacy is reflected in the upright lives of his children and prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved family.
Also present at the condolence visit were extended family members, including Chief Peter Akpasi, Mr. Alexander Tonyain, Idenghabo Tonyain, Dorathy Akpasi, Comr. Godfrey Oyinebi Golio, Niger Dauwerikumo, among others.
May the gentle soul of our father Chief T. T. Akpasi rest in peace.
