In line with the prosperity administration's drive to build science and technical college across Bayelsa State, the prosperity administration is passionate about emphasizing technical education to ensure students from Bayelsa State don't just get paper qualifications but are well equipped with skills so as to provide relevant manpower to service the growing economy of the state.

The purpose of the establishment of technical school is aimed at building the capacity of youths in vocational skills in order to make them self reliant and it is also aimed at capacity building, human development and changing our mindsets from "I am loyal" to producing entrepreneurs, business men and women.

It is passionate to see artisans, such as welders, mechanics, plumbers, caterers, fashion designers among others who are Bayelsans against what is presently obtainable where it is more of the non locals that are always in such fields.
