As preparations for Amaseikumor Festival 2025 intensify, High Chief Government Ekpemu, popularly known as Tompolo, visited Daunimighan Ekpemu—the sacred forest known as the footprint of the Aziza deity in Gbaramatu Kingdom.
Accompanied by traditional leaders and spiritual custodians, Tompolo led solemn rituals, prayers, and offerings seeking peace, protection, and blessings for the land and the Ijaw Nation.
The ceremony marks the spiritual beginning of the festival, reconnecting the people with their ancestral roots and invoking the presence of Aziza, the revered deity of power and peace.
