Dr. Daniel Charles, lawmaker representing Brass Constituency I in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, has awarded educational scholarships to 40 of his constituents.
The lawmaker in a post on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, said the initiative is aimed at promoting academic excellence while creating opportunities for growth and development.
He noted that the 2025 edition of the scheme which entails N200,000 each to five postgraduate students and N150,000 each to thirty-five undergraduates is to support students from Brass Constituency 1 across tertiary institutions.
"These scholarships reflect our commitment to delivering the true dividends of democracy to our people.
"It is on this note that I encouraged the beneficiaries to pursue their studies with dedication and uphold the pride of Brass Constituency I.
"I am grateful to the Almighty God and my constituents for giving us the mandate to serve in this capacity," he noted.
