The Office of the Registrar, Federal University Otuoke, is pleased to announce significant developments approved by the University Senate, including strategic leadership appointments, the establishment of new faculties, opportunities for inter/intra faculty transfers, and the schedule for the institution's 2nd Combined Convocation Ceremony.

NEW APPOINTMENTS

The University Senate has approved the appointment of three distinguished academics to key leadership positions:

- Prof. Dennis Oju Allagoa – Provost, College of Medical Sciences
- Prof. Joshua Charles Isirima – Dean, Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences
- Prof. Kosioma Eli Owede – Director, Centre for Niger Delta Studies and Sustainability

These appointments reflect the university's commitment to strengthening academic leadership and enhancing the quality of education across all disciplines.
ESTABLISHMENT OF NEW FACULTIES

In a landmark decision, the University Senate has approved the establishment of two new faculties, bringing the total number of faculties at Federal University Otuoke to fifteen (15).

THE NEW FACULTIES:
- Faculty of Computing
- Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences

EXISTING FACULTIES:

The university continues to maintain excellence across thirteen established faculties:

- Faculty of Agricultural Sciences
- Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences
- Faculty of Education
- Faculty of Engineering
- Faculty of Environmental Sciences
- Faculty of Humanities
- Faculty of Law
- Faculty of Pharmacy
- Faculty of Science
- Faculty of Social Sciences
- Faculty of Management Sciences
- Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science
- Faculty of Nursing Sciences

This expansion underscores the university's strategic vision to diversify academic offerings and meet the evolving demands of the modern knowledge economy.

INTER/INTRA FACULTY TRANSFER

Federal University Otuoke is now inviting applications for Inter/Intra Faculty Transfer for students wishing to change their programme of study.

TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURE:

ELIGIBILITY:
- Minimum CGPA of 2.50

APPLICATION PROCESS:
1. Make online payment of a non-refundable sum of ₦10,000
2. Obtain stamped receipt from the Bursary
3. Obtain Transfer Form from the Office of the Registrar
4. Complete and submit the form to the current Head of Department for processing by the Departmental and Faculty Boards of both present and intended programmes
5. Await Senate approval – applicants are not to proceed to the new programme until Senate approves. The Senate Officer shall communicate approval
6. Regularize new programme with JAMB before graduation

IMPORTANT NOTE: Not all applicants may be successful. The ₦10,000 processing fee is non-refundable.

2ND COMBINED CONVOCATION CEREMONY

Federal University Otuoke proudly announces the 2nd Combined Convocation Ceremony for the award of Bachelor's and Postgraduate Degrees, scheduled for December 8-12, 2025.
