176th Exco: Gov. Diri pledges commitment to work with FG for better Nigeria

Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri has pledged his loyalty to work with the Federal Government to improve the standard of living of Nigerians and in particular Bayelsans.

Governor Diri who stated this at the 176th Executive council meeting in Yenagoa cautioned against politicians making unguided statements, stressing that the essence of politics was not to kill one another but for the development of the people, emphasizing the importance of love.

His words: I pledge our loyalty to work for a better Nigeria, to work in synergy with the Federal Government for the uplift of the standard of living of our people, and indeed to ensure that we are part of the process building a new Nigeria.

The meeting which was attended by the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo also witnessed Governor Diri receiving the Nigeria Governor’s Forum and health stakeholders Best Health Insurance Service Delivery Award as well as the Distinguished Governor’s award by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria in recognition of his support to sports development.
